Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your Tanzanian adventure begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel or exploring a little of Arusha at your own pace. This is a perfect opportunity to rest and prepare for the exciting safari adventure ahead.

Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, you will depart Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most beautiful wildlife destinations. The park is famous for its impressive elephant population, enormous baobab trees, and seasonal Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of animals. Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, with opportunities to see elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. In the evening, continue to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3: Tarangire – Lake Manyara National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, you will leave Tarangire and continue to Lake Manyara National Park for a memorable game drive. Located beneath the dramatic Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara offers beautiful scenery and diverse wildlife. During your drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, monkeys, hippos, and a variety of colorful birds. The park is also well known for its tree-climbing lions. After exploring the park, continue to Karatu, where you will spend the evening relaxing at your lodge.

Day 4: Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, begin your journey towards the world-famous Serengeti National Park. As you travel across the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania, you will gradually enter the vast Serengeti plains. Upon arrival, enjoy an afternoon game drive as your safari guide searches for wildlife across the savannah. The Serengeti is home to huge herds of wildebeest and zebras as well as lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and many other species. After the game drive, continue to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Full-Day Serengeti National Park

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the Serengeti. After breakfast, set out on a full-day game drive through the park, following the wildlife and seasonal movements of the animals. The Serengeti is particularly famous for the Great Migration, but it offers exceptional wildlife viewing throughout the year. With your experienced guide, you will have opportunities to search for the Big Five and observe predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards in their natural environment. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your safari until later in the afternoon.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before leaving the park and heading towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers more opportunities to observe wildlife and admire the changing scenery of northern Tanzania. As you approach the Ngorongoro Highlands, the landscape becomes greener and more mountainous. Arrive at your accommodation in the afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the spectacular surroundings before your Ngorongoro adventure the following day.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Rise early for one of the highlights of your Tanzania safari: a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater and explore its remarkable ecosystem, where wildlife is concentrated within the crater floor. You may see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and many other animals, while the crater’s dramatic walls create an unforgettable backdrop. After your game drive and lunch, ascend from the crater and begin your journey back to Arusha, arriving later in the afternoon or evening.
