Day-by-Day Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, impressive baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park, searching for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, and a wide variety of bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. Later, leave Tarangire and head to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Tarangire – Lake Manyara – Karatu
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. Located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, Lake Manyara is known for its beautiful scenery, lush forests, abundant birdlife, elephants, and tree-climbing lions. Explore the park with your experienced safari guide while looking for giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, monkeys, hippos, and other wildlife. After the game drive, continue to Karatu for your overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 3: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti

The Serengeti is home to large populations of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeest. Your experienced guide will follow current wildlife activity and choose the best areas for game viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your safari into the afternoon, then return to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest.

Day 4: Serengeti – Arusha

Enjoy a picnic lunch or lunch en route, depending on the day’s schedule, while taking in the changing scenery. Arrive in Arusha later in the afternoon or evening, marking the end of your 4-Day Northern Parks Safari Extension with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife and landscapes.
